Villa Finale - Nold Mathis's hidden house museum

Villa Finale at 401 King William Street is a National Trust for Historic Preservation house museum that was the longtime home and collection of preservationist and collector Walter Nold Mathis. The house preserves Mathis's assembled interiors and decorative arts and interprets the 19th-century King William Historic District streetscape. Located on a residential stretch of King William, Villa Finale is a small, purpose-driven museum that can be easy to miss compared with larger downtown attractions.
