Aarhus Central Workshops

The Aarhus Central Workshops, established in 1862, is a historic complex in Aarhus, Denmark, originally serving as the central train repair facility for Jutland and Fuenen. This architectural gem, listed as a protected site, showcases various industrial styles from the 1860s to the mid-20th century. Visitors can explore its rich history, including its role during the Danish-German war and the Second World War, as well as its evolution from a bustling workshop employing nearly 1,850 workers in the post-war era to its closure in 1990.
