Hotel del Coronado - Victorian beachfront resort

The Hotel del Coronado opened in 1888 and is one of the largest remaining wooden Victorian seaside resorts in the United States. It was designated a National Historic Landmark and is noted for its Queen Anne–style architecture and prominent red-roofed turret. The hotel served as a major filming location for the 1959 film Some Like It Hot and continues to operate as a resort and public destination.
