Baggrave Hall is an exquisite 18th-century Grade II* listed country house located in Hungarton, Leicestershire, England. Built in the 1750s in the elegant Palladian style, the hall features a striking ashlar facade and a distinctive Swithland slate hipped roof. The estate spans 220 acres and has a rich history, originally belonging to Leicester Abbey before passing through notable families, including the Burnabys, with connections to Queen Elizabeth II. Despite suffering significant damage in the late 20th century, restoration efforts are underway. Visitors can admire the exterior from a nearby public footpath, and the hall is steeped in local legend, including a tale of a maidservant and a beggar that adds a touch of intrigue to its storied past.
