Moses Hall

Moses Hall, located at the University of California, Berkeley, is a historic building constructed in 1931, showcasing Tudor Revival and Gothic Revival architectural styles by George W. Kelham. Originally named after John Morton Eshleman, it was renamed in 1963 for Bernard Moses, whose name was removed in 2023 due to his controversial beliefs. The building now houses the Institute of Governmental Studies and the Howison Philosophy Library, and was renamed Philosophy Hall in 2024, making it a significant site for both academic research and historical reflection.
