Seattle Central Library (architectural landmark)

Seattle Central Library opened to the public in November 2004 and was designed by Rem Koolhaas's firm OMA in collaboration with LMN Architects of Seattle. The 11-story glass-and-steel building is noted for its unconventional geometry and open-plan interior, including a continuous non-fiction shelving concept often referred to as the 'Books Spiral.' It functions as the central branch of the Seattle Public Library and is frequently visited on architecture tours.
