Fraunces Tavern Museum

Fraunces Tavern at 54 Pearl Street occupies an 18th-century building associated with Revolutionary-era New York. It is the location where George Washington delivered his farewell to Continental Army officers on December 4, 1783. Today the site houses the Fraunces Tavern Museum, which interprets the building's role in early U.S. history alongside a restaurant occupying part of the structure. The tavern is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
