Kenilworth Plantation House

The Kenilworth Plantation House, located in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana, is a historic French Creole style plantation house built around 1820, though a sign suggests a construction date of 1759. It stands as one of the best-preserved examples of its architectural style in the area, featuring a two-story structure with a raised basement, a gallery with French doors, and a distinctive hipped roof. The house has been owned by Dr. Valentino Acosta and his family since 1964 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2006. Additionally, it served as a filming location for the movie Stay Alive, making it a point of interest for both tourists and researchers alike.
