Hamilton Mill-West Street Factory Housing

The Hamilton Mill-West Street Factory Housing, located at 45 West Street in Southbridge, Massachusetts, is a historic worker tenement house built in the mid-19th century. Notable for its Greek Revival architectural elements, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989. Originally more elaborate in design, the building features a 2+1⁄2-story wood-frame structure with multiple doorways and distinctive gabled dormers. It was constructed to accommodate workers from the nearby Hamilton Woolen Mill, and while it has lost much of its original styling due to modern renovations, it remains a significant example of early company-built housing in the area.
