Memphis College of Art (permanently closed 2020)

Memphis College of Art was founded in 1936 as the Memphis Academy of Art and operated as an accredited independent art college in Memphis. The college announced it would close permanently in February 2020, with the final graduating class completing studies in 2020. Its campus is located at 1930 Poplar Ave, and the institution cited longstanding financial challenges and declining enrollment as reasons for closure.
