The Martens

The Martens is a historic apartment building in Indianapolis, Indiana, constructed in 1900. This three-story, 19 bay wide brick structure features commercial storefronts on the ground floor adorned with Classical Revival style cast iron pilaster posts and 'I' beam framing. The upper stories showcase elegant two-story projecting bays. Recognized for its architectural significance, The Martens was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1983, making it a notable site for tourists and researchers interested in the history and architecture of downtown Indianapolis.
