National September 11 Memorial & Museum

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum commemorates the victims of the September 11, 2001 and February 26, 1993 attacks and is located at the World Trade Center site in Lower Manhattan. The Memorial features two reflecting pools set within the footprints of the original Twin Towers with the names of the nearly 3,000 victims inscribed on bronze parapets; the Museum opened to the public in 2014 and houses artifacts, exhibitions, and oral histories related to the events and their aftermath. The site is managed by the National September 11 Memorial & Museum organization in coordination with the Port Authority and National Park Service for the surrounding memorial plaza.
