Frank 'Lefty' Rosenthal and the Stardust

Frank 'Lefty' Rosenthal worked as a casino executive in Las Vegas and managed operations at the Stardust Resort & Casino and other properties during the 1960s–1980s. Nevada regulators later found he could not be licensed to hold a gaming license, and his activities were alleged to involve organized crime; those allegations are central to his historical reputation. Rosenthal's career and legal troubles were a primary inspiration for the protagonist in the 1995 film Casino.
