Arnold Arboretum of Harvard University

The Arnold Arboretum, established in 1872 and part of Harvard University, is a living museum of woody plants and one of the oldest public arboreta in North America. Frederick Law Olmsted assisted in planning the landscape framework, and the site continues to serve research, conservation, and public education purposes. The 281-acre landscape includes labeled collections, specimen trees, and seasonal displays that draw visitors year-round. The Arboretum operates as a public park with walking paths and interpretive resources.
