Florida Theatre

The Florida Theatre opened in 1927 as a Mediterranean-themed movie palace and vaudeville house in downtown Jacksonville. After periods of decline it was restored and reopened as a performing arts venue; it is individually listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The theater retains original marquee and interior architectural details and continues to host concerts, films, and community events.
