Bremen Exchange

The Bremen Exchange, once a prominent regional stock exchange in Germany, has a rich history dating back to the 17th century when it began as a trading hub in the Liebfrauenkirchhof passage. The Old Exchange, built in Baroque style, served various commercial activities until its destruction in 1888. A New Exchange was established in 1864 in a Neo-Gothic style, becoming a key center for trading securities by the late 19th century. Although it closed in 1934, the legacy of the Bremen Exchange continues through the Foundation of the Bremen Stock Exchange, which supports scholarship and culture.
