Old State House

The Old State House, completed in 1713, is one of the oldest public buildings in the United States and served as the seat of the Massachusetts General Court during the colonial period. The Boston Massacre occurred on March 5, 1770, on King Street (now near the Old State House), and the building later became a museum interpreting colonial and revolutionary-era Boston. It remains an architectural and historical landmark in Boston's Financial District.
