1200 Intrepid

1200 Intrepid is a striking office building located in The Navy Yard, Philadelphia, designed by renowned Danish architect Bjarke Ingels and his firm BIG. Completed in 2016, this unique structure features a curving design inspired by battleships and the adjacent circular park, setting it apart from the traditional box-shaped buildings in the area. The building has attracted notable tenants, including Penn Capital Management and Rite Aid, which plans to relocate its headquarters there. Architectural critic Inga Saffron praised its mesmerizing curved wall, while Ingels likened the white concrete facade to elegant bracelets, creating a graceful and inviting atmosphere.
