Museum of Pop Culture (Seattle Center icon)

Founded by Paul Allen in 2000 as the Experience Music Project, the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) is housed in a Frank Gehry–designed building at Seattle Center. It features rotating and permanent exhibits on contemporary popular culture, with strong focuses on music and science fiction. MoPOP maintains extensive collections and hosts public programs, concerts, and educational events that draw visitors to the Seattle Center neighborhood.
