Glen Foerd on the Delaware

Glen Foerd is a historic mansion located in the Torresdale neighborhood of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, overlooking the Delaware River. Built around 1850 in the Italianate style by businessman Charles Macalester, Jr., the estate has a rich history, including connections to several U.S. Presidents. It was later owned by congressman Robert H. Foerderer, who expanded the mansion in the early 1900s. Now a historic house museum and public park, Glen Foerd is recognized for its architectural significance and beautiful grounds. It was also featured as the finish line in the finale of Season 36 of The Amazing Race, making it a notable destination for visitors.
