St George's House, Perth

St George's House, also known as the Terrace Hotel, is a historic building located at 237 St Georges Terrace in Perth, Western Australia. Constructed in the Federation Queen Anne style between 1891 and 1892, it was originally built by the Perth Diocesan Trust of the Anglican Church to generate income. The site has a rich history, having been associated with the first Anglican Bishop of Perth, Matthew Hale, who purchased the land in 1856. Over the years, the building has undergone several name changes and renovations, including the addition of verandahs and extensive alterations in 1939. Today, it stands as a testament to Perth's architectural heritage, making it an interesting stop for tourists and researchers alike.
