San Fernando Cathedral (Basilica of Our Lady of Candelaria and San Fernando)

The Cathedral of San Fernando, founded in the 18th century and located on Main Plaza, is one of the oldest cathedrals in the United States and serves as the mother church of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of San Antonio. It has been an active parish site for regular Masses, sacraments, and diocesan ceremonies for centuries. The cathedral's façade is also the site of a regular public audiovisual presentation projecting San Antonio history onto the building.
