The White House security perimeter

The White House at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW is the official residence and principal workplace of the President of the United States. It is protected by the United States Secret Service and lies within a secured perimeter; public tours must be requested in advance through a Member of Congress or approved by the Secret Service and are subject to screening. The airspace and approaches over the White House are also subject to permanent flight restrictions enforced by federal authorities.
