Watkins Ferry Toll House

The Watkins Ferry Toll House, built in 1837 in Martinsburg, West Virginia, is a historic site known for its Greek Revival architectural style. This small stone building served as a toll house before becoming a private residence. Although it tragically burned down in 1985, it was recognized for its historical significance and listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980. The remains of the foundation were removed in 2004 to make way for new housing, marking the end of an era for this once-prominent structure.
