Suhr House

The Suhr House, a Neoclassical gem located at Gammeltorv 22 in central Copenhagen, has been in the Suhr family since 1749. Originally a collection of smaller properties, it was transformed into a grand trading house by Johan Peter Suhr in the 18th century. The current structure, built between 1796 and 1797, features elegant architectural details such as Ionic pilasters and a distinctive triangular pediment. Owned by the Den Suhrske Stiftelse, the house reflects the rich history of Copenhagen's commercial and cultural elite, making it a fascinating site for tourists and researchers alike.
