Rodin Museum - large Rodin collection and local sculpture garden

The Rodin Museum on Benjamin Franklin Parkway houses one of the largest collections of Auguste Rodin sculptures outside Paris; the collection was donated by Jules Mastbaum and the museum opened in 1929. Its outdoor sculpture garden and lawns are regularly used by neighborhood residents for quiet visits and informal picnics. The museum operates independently of the Philadelphia Museum of Art but is a well-known local cultural asset on the Parkway.
