Paramount Theatre historic downtown movie palace

The Paramount Theatre at 713 Congress Ave opened in 1915 as a vaudeville and movie palace and remains a historic performing-arts venue on Congress Avenue. The theatre retains its historic marquee and decorative interior elements after restorations and hosts films, concerts, and other live performances. It is a central venue for the Austin Film Society and local arts programming.
