T-Mobile Arena's role in big televised music events

T-Mobile Arena opened on April 6, 2016 as a large-capacity arena on the Las Vegas Strip and immediately became a major concert destination. It hosted the 2017 Billboard Music Awards on May 21, 2017 and has since been a regular stop for touring pop, rock, and country acts. The arena's presence expanded Las Vegas's capacity to hold large-scale, televised music events outside traditional casino showrooms.
