Presidio La Bahía

Presidio La Bahía, established in 1747 in Goliad, Texas, is a historic Spanish fort that played a crucial role during the Texas Revolution, notably as the site of the Battle of Goliad and the subsequent Goliad massacre. Originally founded in 1721, it became a key military outpost and the only Spanish fortress along the Gulf Coast. The presidio has been restored and is now a public museum, recognized as a National Historic Landmark.
