Waterford Kamhlaba

Waterford Kamhlaba United World College of Southern Africa is a pioneering private secondary school located near Mbabane, Eswatini. Established in 1963 by Michael Stern, it was the first institution in southern Africa to welcome students of all races, standing against the apartheid regime in neighboring South Africa. As a member of the United World Colleges movement since 1981, it offers the International Baccalaureate and IGCSE programs. The campus, designed by architect Pancho Guedes, has educated notable figures including the children of Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu.
