Salzhaus

The Salzhaus, or Salt House, is a historic building located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, forming part of the City Hall complex on Römerberg square. Originally constructed around 1600, it showcased a stunning Renaissance façade and was a significant artisan-produced civil building. Unfortunately, it was largely destroyed during World War II, with only the stone base remaining. The building was reconstructed in a modern style in the early 1950s, featuring a rich decoration that reflects the post-war spirit.
