National Clothespin Factory

The National Clothespin Factory, located in Montpelier, Vermont, is a historic industrial site built in 1918 and recognized for its significance as the last manufacturer of wooden clothespins in the United States. This well-preserved three-story wood-frame factory showcases early 20th-century architecture and features original elements like a period elevator. Although it ceased operations in 2003 due to competition and changing laundry practices, the factory remains a notable landmark and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, making it an interesting visit for tourists and researchers alike.
