Centre for Geography and Exploration

The Centre for Geography and Exploration, located at 50 Sussex Drive in Ottawa, serves as the headquarters for the Royal Canadian Geographical Society and is home to Canadian Geographic magazine. Overlooking the scenic Rideau Falls and Ottawa River, this facility features two galleries showcasing various exhibits, including the first Google Earth Wall in Canada. The site has a rich history, previously hosting gatherings of Indigenous peoples and later housing the Canada and the World Pavilion. Since its transformation in 2018, it has welcomed notable visitors like Alex Trebek and Jane Goodall, and hosts events in the Alex Trebek Theatre, making it a vibrant hub for geography, exploration, and education.
