Little Talbot Island State Park - undeveloped barrier island

Little Talbot Island State Park preserves one of the few remaining undeveloped barrier islands on Florida's northeast Atlantic coast, with several miles of intact beach, maritime hammock, and salt marsh habitats. The park's shoreline and dunes remain largely natural compared with more developed nearby barrier islands, supporting typical coastal plant and animal communities. The island is managed as a Florida State Park and is accessed via Heckscher Drive in Jacksonville.
