Independence Hall (historic photographed landmark)

Independence Hall is the site where the Second Continental Congress met and where the Declaration of Independence was adopted in 1776; it later hosted the Constitutional Convention in 1787. The building is part of Independence National Historical Park and is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Its Georgian façade and the Assembly Room are frequent subjects of tourist photography and widely circulated images of Philadelphia.
