Claremont Hotel, Eastbourne

The Claremont Hotel, once a prominent establishment in Eastbourne, East Sussex, was known for its stunning views of the Carpet Gardens and proximity to Eastbourne Pier. Built between 1851 and 1855, this Grade II* listed hotel featured 70 rooms and was part of a grand architectural row along the Grand Parade. Unfortunately, a devastating fire in November 2019 led to its destruction, despite efforts to save it. The hotel was notable for its elegant iron balconies and a large conference room.
