Highmead School

Highmead School, located near Llanybydder in west Wales, is a historic building originally constructed in 1777 as a mansion. It transitioned into a boarding school in 1956, later becoming the European Institute of Human Sciences, an Islamic college focused on Arabic and Islamic studies. The school closed in 1996 amid controversies, including allegations of radicalisation training. Now abandoned and described as 'frozen in time', it was put up for sale in 2016, offering a glimpse into its storied past for tourists and researchers alike.
