St. Elmo Steak House – historic downtown steakhouse known for its shrimp cocktail

St. Elmo Steak House opened in 1902 and is one of Indianapolis's oldest continuously operating restaurants. It is famous for its shrimp cocktail served with a very spicy horseradish sauce and has been a popular dining spot for generations of residents. The restaurant occupies a landmark building in downtown Indianapolis near the Indiana Convention Center.
