The Menil Collection

The Menil Collection is a free-admission art museum in the Montrose neighborhood founded by Dominique and John de Menil. The institution holds a collection of more than 17,000 works spanning antiquity, African and Oceanic art, Surrealism, and contemporary pieces. The Menil campus and its buildings are regarded as a cultural anchor of the Montrose neighborhood.
