Dar el Bacha

Dar el Bacha, meaning 'House of the Pasha', is a stunning palace located in the historic medina of Marrakech, Morocco. Built in 1910 for the influential pasha Thami El Glaoui, this architectural gem showcases a blend of traditional Moroccan and European styles, featuring beautiful riad gardens, intricate tilework, and ornate wooden details. Now home to the Museum of Confluences, inaugurated in 2017, it offers visitors a glimpse into Moroccan culture through various temporary exhibits. The museum also includes Bacha Coffee, a café specializing in Arabica coffee, set in a charming period salon. Although recently affected by an earthquake, it is expected to reopen in November 2023, making it a must-visit for tourists and researchers alike.
