Eldridge Turn-Halle

The Eldridge Turn-Halle, also known as Tomberg's Turner Hall, was a historic building in Eldridge, Iowa, recognized for its role in promoting physical fitness and German culture through the Turnverein movement. Established in the late 19th century, it served as a community hub for German immigrants, reflecting their significant presence in the area. The building was operational until it was destroyed by fire in 2013, after which it was removed from the National Register of Historic Places in 2019. The site represents a rich history of German-American heritage and community organization in Scott County.
