Cove Island Houses

The Cove Island Houses, located in Cove Island Park, Stamford, Connecticut, is a historic Georgian-style house that dates back to 1791. Originally built by John Holly alongside a grist mill, it reflects the area's colonial history and is the last remnant of the once-thriving Stamford Mills complex. The house features a distinctive 2+1⁄2-story frame structure with wooden clapboards and a gambrel roof. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and currently serves as the administrative offices for Cove Island Park, making it a notable site for both tourists and researchers interested in local history.
