Washington Harbour (postmodern Georgetown waterfront complex)

Washington Harbour is a postmodern mixed-use development on the Georgetown waterfront designed by Arthur Cotton Moore Associates and completed in the mid-1980s. The complex is noted for its curving terraces, travertine-clad plazas, prominent fountain with seasonal water and ice-skating features, and its combination of residential, commercial, and parking functions along the Potomac River. Its design and flood-control measures have been discussed as significant elements of urban waterfront redevelopment in the city.
