Trinity Church (Copley Square)

Designed by H. H. Richardson and completed in 1877, Trinity Church is a seminal example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture and was designated a National Historic Landmark. The church is noted for its polychrome stone exterior and interior murals and stained glass by artists including John La Farge. Trinity Church anchors Copley Square adjacent to the Boston Public Library and influenced late 19th-century American ecclesiastical architecture.
