McNay Art Museum (former Marion Koogler McNay estate)

The McNay Art Museum occupies a 1929 Spanish Colonial Revival mansion built for Marion Koogler McNay. The residence was bequeathed and opened as a public museum in 1954, becoming the first modern art museum in Texas. Its architecture and landscaped grounds exemplify Spanish Colonial Revival domestic architecture in early 20th-century San Antonio.
