Friends School (Casco, Maine)

The Friends School, a historic one-room schoolhouse built in 1849, was located in the village center of Casco, Maine. This well-preserved example of 19th-century architecture served the community until 1942 and was later converted into a museum by the local historical society. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996 but tragically destroyed by arsonists in 2018.
