Emmons House

The Emmons House, located at 601 Lincoln Street in Sitka, Alaska, is a historic two-story wood-frame structure built in 1895 by Lieutenant George T. Emmons, a prominent anthropologist of the Tlingit people. This unique house is the only site in Alaska closely linked to Emmons' life and work, where he collected numerous Tlingit artifacts during his four-year service in the area.
