Nila Gumbad

Nila Gumbad, meaning 'Blue Dome', is a historic tomb located within the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Humayun's Tomb complex in Delhi, India. The exact identity of the person buried here remains uncertain, with theories suggesting it could be the tomb of Fahim Khan, an attendant from the Mughal era. The mausoleum, notable for its striking turquoise blue tiles, features a square plan with a hemispherical dome and decorative arches. Although much of its original tile work has been lost, visitors can now explore this architectural gem, which is just 50 yards from the main tomb, using the same ticket for the complex since its accessibility was improved in 2019.
