Greer Mill

Greer Mill, also known as Greer Roller Mill, is a historic grist mill located near Alton, Missouri, built in 1899. This 2 1/2-story structure features a distinctive side gable roof and a cupola, resting on a sturdy sandstone foundation. The mill operated until 1920 and was later purchased by conservationist Leo Drey in 1987, who sold it to the Forest Service for inclusion in the Eleven Point District of the Mark Twain National Forest. It was recognized for its historical significance by being listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, making it a noteworthy site for tourists and researchers interested in American industrial history.
