Golightly-Dean House

The Golightly-Dean House, located near Spartanburg, South Carolina, is a historic home with roots dating back to before 1784. This charming structure features a one-story, double-pen masonry wing and a two-story brick addition from around 1830. After suffering damage from a tornado in 1884, the house underwent further renovations. The property also includes a log smokehouse and a log shed, adding to its historical significance. After years of neglect, the house was lovingly restored by newlyweds Joe and Lena Webb post-World War II, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1988, largely due to Lena Webb's dedication to preserving its history.
